From an early age art was part of Marie-Louise’s life as her mother owned a gallery and painted herself as well. However it was only after college when she started to paint full time (www.marielouiseoudkerk.nl).

Marie Louise organises painting workshops for beginners as well as more advanced artists. The workshop will last a week and consists of five days of lessons for circa four hours a day. The remaining time is reserved for your leisure to explore the area, to get inspired by the surroundings, to participate in the sports program or simply enjoy the peace and silence with a glass of wine in the comfortable lounge chairs in the shade of the trees

From Sunday afternoon you are welcome to arrive in our Chambre d’Hotes in La Davalade. We will be ready to welcome you and we would like to invite you to join us for a welcome drink on our lovely terrace with beautiful views over the unspoiled nature of the Ardeche. At eight pm we will dine together and you have the opportunity to meet the other participants while enjoying an organic meal and a glass of wine

Monday morning between 08:00 and 08:30, the breakfast is served on the outdoor terrace. At 9:00 we start painting. All materials will be provided in the spacious and light studio. We paint until 13:00 when we break for lunch and evaluate the morning

After lunch, the program is free and at your own discretion. There are ample possibilities among which; a nice walk, punchy bike ride or swimming in one of the nearby "Baignades". We highly recommend a canoe trip in the picturesque Balazuc. However it might be just as nice to just relax or read in the lush garden and you are more than welcome to come and have a look at our large kitchen garden. Lastly, if you are really on a roll, you can also return to your painting.

At six it's time to reflect and we invite you for a drink and a snack (with or without the other participants) follow by dinner at 8pm. The delicious dinner is prepared with products from our own garden and accompanied with a glass of lovely wine from the Ardèche.

Saturday morning after breakfast everyone returns home.

It is our intention to provide anyone who participates with a delightful relaxing, creative and nutritious week without restricting engagement and rules. We will do our utmost best to meet everyone's wishes and make sure you return home with a memorable creative experience.

The cost of a course per person, per week is € 875.00 incl. VATThis

includes:

  • A shared room for 2 persons with private bathroom
  • Daily Breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • 4 day of four hours a day including all material and one canvas of choice: 80cm x 80cm,
  • 100cm x 100cm or 80cm x 120cm
  • Sports program

Drinks, such as wine and soft drinks, are not included

If you would like to be accompanied, the rate for a partner who does not participate in the workshop is € 450.00 including the meals and other services described above
